It's too funny how Katie kept a very close eye on santa! You can tell when he gets on the church bus because of how she kinda hides her face and she wrinkles her nose when he waves to her

For Christmas Mommy and Daddy got Katie a new toothbrush and she LOVES it! Everytime we turn around she's gotten it off the bathroom sink and is using it!

Christmas eve night and Christmas morning was spent at Grammie and Papaw's house with all our family and Katie was reminded several times to be nice to Sarah Jane and it's too cute how she says 'I am being nice'

Christmas Eve Katie opened presents and her stocking from Poppy and Mamaw and she was thrilled to get a horse that looked like Sandy!

At Carriage Hill Farm Mommy and Katie went on a horse drawn sleigh ride and of course Katie thoroughly enjoyed it!

On our sleigh ride the horses kept stinkering and Katie kept saying 'excuse you horsey' which everyone thought was too cute.

Grammie got Katie a Christmas tree for her room and Katie had alot of fun decorating it.

When I gave Katie the tube of coloring I didn't think she'd want to put the whole tube on just one cookie!!

Katie helped Mommy and Grammie make Christmas candy and one of her jobs was to crush up the peppermint for peppermint bark. It's funny how she keeps looking around 'cause she isn't allowed to take a hammer to anything else so it's like she's watching her back!

Grammie, Mommy, and Katie made Christmas goodies and Katie was thrilled to help with the peppermint bark because it involved candy! She was allowed to have the little tiny pieces and made sure she got every single one of them!

Katie was Papaw's helper getting the Christmas tree this year. She helped pick it out, cut it down, and carry it!

Now it's time to help Papaw get the tree all set up inside the house. And of course later she helped Mommy and Grammie decorate it. :)

Great Grandma Chesnut made Katie her very own pumpkin pie from the pumpkins we got at Fulton Farm. It's kinda funny how she reacts to it being cold.



Katie got plenty of candy from trick or treat and everyone said she was so cute!

More trick or treating

For halloween this year Katie was a cowgirl and we had alot of fun taking her trick or treating!

While working outside yesterday Katie found a cricket and of course she wanted to keep it.



Grandma Pat says every kid needs a pile of leaves to jump in and Katie sure enjoyed jumping in hers! And she is a very good helper so of course she had to rake some herself.



Katie enjoyed running through the leaves at Great Grandma C's house and she had a blast playing with Victoria and Olivia! Her hair is so pretty in this video and we can't believe how long it's gotten! :)

While at Fulton Farm Katie enjoyed the petting zoo and the slides. The little stinker just cuts in front of someone else waiting in line, but I don't think she realized they were in line. It's funny 'cause you can hear the girl talking about it!

We recently went to Fulton Farm and Katie and Daddy walked wwwaaayyyyy out into the pumpkin patch to find a pumpkin for Daddy.

We drove around the block to see the halloween lights and Katie loved them! She knew exactly where they were because we went several times ~ she would tell Daddy when to turn to go see them. :)

For Halloween this year Katie is going to be a cowgirl and cousin Tyler let her borrow a rope to use. Here she's practicing her roping.

Here Great Uncle Jeff is getting Sandy all ready for Katie to ride. Towards the end of the video you can hear Katie say 'ooohhhhh' as Sandy shakes a fly off.

After getting Sandy all ready to go Great Uncle Jeff took Katie for a ride around the arena. Sure has been a while since he had a little girl to lead around!! :)

Mommy and Katie recently went to a roping and Katie thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the horses and riding them. Here she's sitting on Bullet who belongs to Uncle Jeff's brother Jody.

Papaw Hess let Katie bring a kitty out to the farm and she loves her kitty! The poor thing puts up with alot from her!

Katie loves to ride the tire swing at Papaw and Grammie's house. She rides it like a horsey as she says and she loves to go really high!! She gets that from her Daddy NOT from her Mommy!! :)

At Katie's swimming lessons there's a place in the middle of the pool with a current that takes you 'round and 'round. It's pretty strong but it's fun!!

Because Katie was doing so well in the water her instructor used her a the 'demonstration' for the frog slide. Katie loved it and everytime we go to the pool she of course wants to go down the froggy slide!

Katie did so well in her swim class that the instructor suggested she move on up the next class which helps transition the child to swim classes without a parent in the water. It was so cute to see her ~ she could touch the bottom and just had a blast!

Katie wants to feed the baby cow but the poor thing just isn't sure about her!

Mommy and Katie recently drove the Shelby County Farm Tour and we had alot of fun! In this video Katie is talking about the alpacas we just saw. It's funny how she says they need a spanking for not listening and coming here when she told them to because she wanted to pet them!

These poor calfs just didn't know what to think of Katie and she wanted to pet them so badly! It's too cute how she says 'here cow' to them.

Katie made her daddy a little nervous when she said 'see the daddy cow?' but then we realized it was the daddy because it looked the biggest to her and of course she had to mention the mommy cow too!

While at Great Uncle Rich's Katie was able to see lots of farm animals and enjoyed them very much!

The family recently got together at Great Uncle Rich's farm and Katie had a blast there! In this clip she's holding down Freddie who is about a month younger than her while his older brother Tommy throws straw on him.

Katie loves her cousin Sarah Jane but doesn't really understand that she has to be gentle when attempting to pick Sarah Jane up. It's too cute how poor Sarah Jane has learned to put with Katie till someone can rescue her!

Papaw Hess took us to the Hartzell Air Show and Katie loved being able to watch all the airplanes. She was thrilled that they were so close. :)

We visited the Heritage Festival and of course Katie bug HAD to ride the baby horses as she calls them.

While visiting Poppy and Mamaw over Labor Day weekend Katie helped Poppy and Mommy put fresh water in the camper and then put away the hoses. It's really cute how she thinks she's turning the end of the hose and getting water.

Over Labor Day weekend we went to visit Poppy and Mamaw at the campground and Katie had a blast. It was too funny how she knew it was Poppy even though she couldn't see him!

Katie calls this her horsey and just learned how to make it go all by herslef. She's no longer Mommy's little baby!

As most of you probably know Katie LOVES horses and loves to ride them every chance she gets. These are at the Miami County Fair this year.

We took Katie to the Miami County Fair this year and she enjoyed getting to ride the rides. The cars was her first ride all by herself and she did really good until Mommy moved and she didn't know where I was.

Katie, Kaylee, and Reese are enjoying some pool time together. It's too funny to watch them because whatever one does the others must try too! :)

We had a play date with the twins ~ Kaylee and Reese and even though the water was a bit chilly the girls had a lot of fun!

While getting her beach ball Katie got some moss on her foot and it was too funny how she came limping back 'cause she was kinda grossed out. And of course Mommy and cousin Amanda were very amused by her :)

Katie had a blast throwing the ball for Annie ~ who she calls Annie dog. Everytime she'd throw the ball and Annie would get it she'd scream ~ as you'll hear! Poor Annie was used to the ball being thrown much farther, but she was glad someone was willing to throw it over and over for her.

We had a blast spending the day with cousin Amanda ~ we swam, rode horses, walked horses, fed horses, and swam some more. Katie is getting very brave and comfortable with the horses and asks everyday if we're going to see them!

This was Katie's first time riding bare back and she did great!

Every nite before bed we read Katie a Bible story and she often gets her Bible and sits in her chair and 'reads' it herself. This time I caught it on video :)

One hot Friday Grammie took Katie and Mommy to Fort Loramie and we had a nice time. The water was dirtier than we're used to, but it did help cool us off. :)

Here's is Katie opening her birthday gift from Darlene and Mikey moo. She heard Mommy say ' I hear something' as she was opening her gift and of course she had to say what Mommy says! She really enjoyed tearing the wrapping paper off this year whereas last year she wanted nothing to do with wrapping paper!

Pappy and Mamaw got Katie her first tricycle and her reaction to opening her gift is too precious!

Here's Katie's gift from Pappy and Mamaw ~ her first tricycle. She wasn't too sure about the pedals ~ probably because they have little bumps that hurt her bare feet. But she found her own way to make it go.

As you'll see Katie was much more interested in eating the yummy icing than paying attention to her happy birthday song. She didn't really understand the concept of blowing out the candles but with some help from Mommy we got them out eventually.

Pappy and Mamaw got a bubble gun for Katie and she LOVES it! She loves to chase the bubbles and try and catch them. And she makes some pretty cute faces in this clip too. :)

It's too cute when Katie says 'good job' about the fireworks. And if you listen closely you can hear her hands clapping while she tells them 'good job'.

Katie was supposed to be asleep but instead she's talking and singing about random stuff. I have no clue how everything she's talking about goes together, but it's cute :)

I think she knows I can hear her! Towards the end she says 'Mommy come get Katie bug' ~ it's so hard to not go in and get her when she does that!!!

Katie LOVES to watch the video of Amanda and Sandy swimming ~ it's not unusual for her to watch it 3 or 4 times in a row! In this clip she plays the movie again all by herself and is very proud of herself and tells herself good job and claps.

At Darke County Steam Threshers this year Katie found a straw pile to play in. She was a little unsure of it at first but by the time we left she would get excited about getting to go play in it.

Now this is a video of a true diva! Not only is Grandma Pat pulling her in the wagon but she has a seat in the wagon and she's blowing bubbles. She heard several people call for her Daddy over the week and it was too cute how she hollers "Eric......Eric" just like she heard other people do :)

The little blue cup Katie has is from her little kitchen set ~ she loves to drink from that thing. And she blows bubbles in the pool water very well as you'll hear and see.

This one is cute as Katie shakes her biscuits for the camera. She loves the water and has lots of fun being outside.

Katie loves to be outside and especially likes to play in her pool or sprinkler. She talks about reach and pull ~ something she was taught in swimming lessons and then Grandma Pat comes home in the truck and Katie wants to make sure Grandma sees her.

While camping we bought Katie some sparklers. She didn't really understand to keep them away from her body but she did enjoy them.

While camping in June with Eric's family it was pretty hot and for fun Daddy showed Katie how to talk into the fan. She wasn't too sure 'bout it but later on we caught her doing it all by herself when no one was looking.

Memorial day weekend Katie, Mommy, and cousin Amanda went tent camping and we had a BLAST mostly because Katie was slaphappy and Mommy and Amanda were too!

Mommy and Katie went to a roping over the weekend with some family and by the time we left Katie was in love with the horses! She rode Sandy this time and even rode her by herself!

Just a few weeks ago Katie wanted nothing to do with Slick, but this past weekend Mommy was able to coax her into a ride. Katie had a blast and was pretty upset when it was time to get off. She keeps telling me she wants to ride Slick more with Mommy

Mommy was washing some stuff in the driveway since it was so nice out and when I turned around this is what Katie was doing. I think she is going to be our little tomboy......

Katie wasn't too sure of the Easter grass in her basket from Pappy and Mamaw, but she was sure of the candy that was in it! She's got Mommy's sweet tooth for sure!

Katie learned pretty quickly to shake to eggs to hear what was inside them ~ it's too funny!

Katie found money in one of her Easter eggs and was pretty disappointed that the rest of them didn't have money in them!

Daddy helps Katie hunt Easter eggs after church. It was very windy, but Katie enjoyed herself. And cousins Kaitlynn and Dougie were very kind and shared some of their eggs with Katie so she would have alot of them too.

Papaw Hess took Katie out to see the big chickens and here you'll see her feed them some grass.

Here Katie 'sneaks' {she pronounces it 'neak' though :)} on her eggs and when she drops one she tells it sorry ~ it's too sweet!

Daddy hid eggs for Katie to find at the house and she had a blast! She is doing very well with her colors as you'll hear in the video.

This was Katie's first time hunting Easter eggs and she did very well! At first she was a little hesitent because one was in Grandma's flower bed and she's not allowed to walk in them. After we assured her it was ok to go get the egg she was off!

Katie had so much fun hunting the Easter eggs that Daddy had to hide them twice. To keep her busy while Daddy hid them she rode her whale. When she talks about the baby she's talking about herself and when she gets stuck getting off you'll get to see a little bit of her dramatic side. :)

Since Daddy and Mommy were able to organize our storage unit over spring break we were also able to get some of Katie's outside toys set up at the house. The noise in the back ground is Daddy and Papaw Pops cutting boards for the base of Mamaw's lighthouse. And when Katie says 'scuse you mommy' I don't know why she blamed me because I didn't do anything! :) When she took the tumble she ended up with 2 little mud smudges on her face, but she could care less!

We're trying to get Katie to jump in but she kinda hesitates still and it isn't quite a jump just yet.

Katie doesn't mind going under water as long as she knows someone else will do it too. She comes out of the water laughing which is funny.

Katie loves to swim and does very well with a float belt on.

Because of a scary incident at swimming lessons last week Katie didn't want to get in the pool this week so Mommy ended up borrowing Pops' swim clothes and getting in. After getting her in she did very well and was upset when it was time to get out!

After Papaw and Katie did 'chicken chores' Katie wanted to watch the baby chickens. They were eating and for some reason she thought they were funny. Grammie comes out to ask what was so funny and Katie is too cute showing Grammie her laugh.

Katie has 6 baby chickens and until we could get them to Papaw's farm we had to keep them at our house in the garage. Katie was pretty thrilled with them as you'll see. She calls them baby chikens instead of chicks.

Here's Katie telling Mommy we're going to go get baby chickens. She also tells Mommy she wants to hold them in her hand and Mommy take a picture. Yes, she is very bossy!!

On a snow day Mommy did some much needed cleaning and one of those items done was Katie's highchair. While the seat cover was in the dryer she had fun climbing on and off the highchair.

Every Sunday Grandma Pat reads the newspaper and Katie decided she wanted to read it too. She enjoys being a big girl very much!

more groovin' to The Wiggles

Katie loves The Wiggles because she gets to move so much. Cracks me up that she can groove to them and suck that crazy thumb at the same time!

Katie is telling us that she wants to color. She loves to color and Mommy has to keep finding new hiding spots for her crayons because she keeps finding them!

Pops taught Katie to say 'wwhhhaaattsssss up' and it's too cute. :) She loves to wear Grandma Pat's Tigger hat and I'm not too sure what the scowl towards the camera is all about......

Uncle Adam got Katie a baby doll for Christmas and she loves being able to take it everywhere even the bathtub! If you turn up the volume you can hear her 'sushing' the baby to sleep. And I guess since Katie has several stuffed animals when she goes to sleep she thinks baby should have some too and gets her kitty and doggy.

Katie loves balloons and her Daddy showed her how to play with it. Daddy also comes to the rescue when Katie lets the balloon go. And at the end she's showing me the balloon and of course she wants to see the picture of herself as you'll hear her say.
